Fahari was was first registered under Kenya Companies act as a company in 2007 as First Generation Investments Ltd(FIGI). It was an idea conceived by its founder Director Benson W Ndege when he was still working as a Accountant in a leading Telecoms Company in Kenya. The idea was to born by the need/urge to consolidate and pull together resources and over time have some equity to venture into business of his Passion and Interest-THE PROPERTY MARKET. The company has however changed over time as strategies were being laid on the best foundation to venture into this cause over the past years of its activity. The small savings were directed into areas where they over time were able to bring in returns.
Today Fahari Limited is an investment company owned by 2 shareholders with a strategy of expanding over time with diverse professional backgrounds and experiences.
Chairman / Managing Director
Benson Ndege BSC (IBA), CPA (K),
Mr. Ndege is the founder member and Managing Director of Fahari, he also Serves as the Chairman of the of the Company for such purposes. He is a businessman and a Qualified Accountant and also offers consultancy in the areas of financial prudency and Investment Focus. He has engaged in several businesses as owner/director in real estate and property development. He has had exposure in the Telecommunication Industry where he worked previously as an Accountant for 13 Years before venturing into business. He has gained immense experience over time and has exposure in managing capital projects. Previously, he worked with Comtec Group of Companies for 13 Years rising from Accounts Intern to Line Accountant.
Mr. Ndege is a Fellow of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants (ICPAK) and is currently the Chairman/Managing Director FIL. He has wide experience in property having been involved in this sector in his private capacity and in partnership with firms in Properties. He is currently responsible for running of company operations.Mr Ndege manages the entire Company’s Investment Portfolio and is also a member of the Strategy and Investment Committee (SIC) and therefore is responsible with the originating/reevaluation of the Investment opportunities/Projects. He works closely with the company’s General Manager in offering guidance and execution of all Board policies and decisions.
Mrs. Ann W Wanjohi BCom.CPA (K)
Mrs. Ann is the co-director of Fahari with Mr. Ndege the Company Chairman. She is a director as well the appointed Company General Manager. She is responsible for management and running of the finance function. Ann manages in conjunction with the Company Chairman the entire company’s investment portfolio, and is also a member of the Strategy and Investment Committee (SIC), and is therefore charged with the responsibility of evaluating investment opportunities/projects. She serves as the secretary to the Board and the SIC. She has a wide experience in Finance having worked for years prior to joining Fahari in full time capacity. She worked at Ungag Group Ltd for 5 and 1/2 Years where she rose from the position of Accounts Intern to the Position of Plant Accountant in charge of the Unga Farm Care Ltd, Proctor and Allan Ltd where she worked as an Cost Accountant for 3 years and Cap well Industries where she worked as a Senior Accountant for 2 Years.
Mr. Muiruri Mburu; BBM, CPA, ISA
Mr. Mburu joined Fahari as a Investment Consultant on Strategy in February 2019. He is responsible for giving his high level advice to SIC on meetings as well as day to day activities. Mburu attends the Strategy and Investment Committee (SIC) during opportunities/projects evaluation. He serves as the secretary to the Board and the SIC. Prior he worked at Afrika Investment Bank (now AIB Capital) and Baraka Africa Fund as an accountant and currently as a General Manger of Fechim Investments Ltd. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management (Finance & Banking) from Moi University and is also a Certified Public Accountant and Investment and Securities Analyst.
